Heres something i am doing as i type this. They only thing i have done is the facial features but i will add a lot more.
There will be teeth in the mouth(my first try at them) and some hair. Anyone got any suggestions to help this character look better? Thanks
more modeling on head
i think its coming along great. im a newbie also so im not going to give you too much info but it looks like you may be having the same problem i have in regards to the zadd intensity. stonecutter suggested to me to turn it down and it helps give a more organic look to the face and he was right. just my thoughts
i like the expression…gj!

The Intensity i use is between 1-6.
Gosh DArn IT!!! My computer froze while i was finishing modeling and now i cant work on the head anymore. Im gonna try to texture the head i posted second but i dont know how it will look. Oh well, ill just have to try to make a new model/
try at texturing. may change a lil. COuld use soem comments. Thanks
Well, here’s a comment…That’s some real fine texturing around the mouth! You have a really nice skin ‘feel’…I would suggest you try a simple brush, RGB only, ZAdd off, and a dotted Apha brush…Set your RGB Intensity low, (I use around 5-15 range), and ‘dab’ on skin colors…
thanks Stonecutter. Ill use the alpha 07 and 23. Im trying to get a sort of pale-blueish face. This will help to bring out the colors. Thanks again/
small update. Thanks a lot Stonecutter. I used your suggestion and this is what i got. Still to come, eyes teeth and something for the top of his head.
added some eyes
How do they look?
Those work…You might like what happens if you go to the ‘Lights’ panel, turn the ‘Ambient’ down to 0, and check the render…The materials in ZBrush have their own ambience, and if you turn down the global ambience in the light panel, you’ll see quite a difference!
wow! It makes the image look a lot better:
Thanks a million Stonecutter.
Im off to bed, but i will make the teeth and finish the image tomorrow! One question, is there anyway i can make his eyes stand out more?
Nice LWTB now give the poor guy some teeth O.K.?
Keep up the good work
greetings

I’m not sure what you mean by ‘stand out’, but if you boost the ambient of the material you used for the eyes, they will get brighter…
Hi LWTB, great updates. You created a very expressive face, with some very good texture work. To make the eyes stand out a bit more:
Go to the TOOLS panel, select IntensityBrush. Make sure that ZADD is off and RGB is on. Try low RGB settings to bring up the colors of the eye. I usually go with 3-5 as my setting. Hope this helps.
Wow, excellent skin textures LWTB. Whats your secret? I’ve been trying to make some textures like that .
wow that looks killer. good job.
well id say that this model is turning out really cool…
how do you get that texture like that. any help would be so great
