NormalRGBMat Y postive or Y negative

Does anyone know if the normalRGBmat is Y postive or Y negative?

And is there a way to tweak the setting within modifier?

does anyone know this?

I believe normalRGBmat was a basic workaround that was used before ZMapper3 was released. The sort of control you’re asking about is found in ZMapper, and has nothing to do with that material.

I’m talking about when i do a tileable canvas modeling. Where I apply the normalRGBMat to the zbrush document. So I would like to know if it’s default at Y postive or negative.

thanks

OK… I think I solved it. NormalRGB Mat make a Y negative normal map.

This is from the Nvidia filter with the setting of Y negative.

So My next question would be again is there way that I can tweak the setting within zbrush on the Normal RGb Mat… cuz I know each software packages have different normal map setting.

Thanks
