Ok, since I had nada response to my first thread “ZBrush-3dsmax smoothing groups problem?” I’ll just try it again, this time backed up by some pics.
The pics show a realtime preview of a model in the CRYTEK polybump previewer.
Headmodel is exported from 3dsmax as an OBJ. file.
UV’s were done in ZBrush with GUV tiles.
The normalmap is created and extracted in ZBrush.
As you can see the diffusemap seems fine…no seams.
But the normal is showing horrible seams…(and no it’s not the UV-yFlip!)

Anybody has experienced this…or likes to speculate as to what is going on.
C’mon guys…give it a shot
