Hi all.
Maybe somebody knows how to bake normal map from hi-poly to low-poly object if they are 2 different .obj files?
Thank You.
Why don’t you use the usual technique?..where you need to import the original object from your other 3d apps into ZBrush > store morph target > divide a couple of times > sculpt hi res > step back to Lv1 subD and switch morph target > bake normal map…pretty much the usual way of going it.

What you would do is:
- Append the low resolution object to the high resolution one as a SubTool.
- Divide it to have about as many polygons as the high resolution one.
- Set Tool>SubTool>PABlur to 8
- Press Tool>SubTool>Project All to copy the details from the high resolution mesh.
- If necessary you can undo the projection and adjust the projection settings, then project again. (You can also mask problem areas so that they do not receive projected details, then fix those areas manually.)
- If necessary you can make edits to the mesh to clean up any spots where the projection wasn’t quite right or where you wish to add more detail.
- Now go to level 1, adjust your Tool>Normal Map settings as necessary and create the normal map.
Thank You for reply! I’ll give it a try
