normal maps messed up when export

Hi

I have a problem when rendering in Maya. I export the normal maps and this is the render I get in Maya

It looks as it is stretched, but I have no idea why or what Am I doing wrong.

Can anyone help me out with this one, plase…

What are the UV’s like in the problem areas?

sorry for the late answer.

I check the UVs and they’re very tight (close togather, ut not overlaping). 'll try and see if this is the problem.

Can you post up an image of the normal map?

I have a feeling the UV islands may be a little too close to each other.
