Normal Map Smooth Problem 3.5R

Hi, I have sculpted this piece of geometry with smooth off on purpose because the smooth modifier changes the shape too greatly, I have the normals smoothed within maya and I just want my changes to be shown in my normal map and not the hard edges of my original model. Any help is greatly appreciated.

you will have to smooth out the hard edges that you left.

from now on you can sculpt away to your hearts content, but you have to store a MT and switch to the original topo before you bake.

I have a Morph Target Stored, is there any way I can fix this problem now?

yes, smoothing out the hard edges. There isn’t a “quick fix”, because every subD level you have has that hard edge on it, so the normal map will show that hard edge.
