Normal Map Baking Errors

Greetings fellow Zbrushers!

I’m currently working on a project and using Zbrush to texture some ceiling trim/molding peices. I’m attempting to bake a normal map and then export to blender (Yes yes, I have 3DS Max and Maya but prefer Blender still). Anyway, all that aside, when I do the bake, I get these really annoying problems around my UV seams. And yes, I have tested that when I change UVs, the problems follow the seams. I have tested using the Multimap Exporter and the Normal Map generator in the tools section.

Here is an example of what is happening:

So, any suggestions? I guess I should mention that there are no messy UVish errors when I attempt to bake without Tangent on, however I want it in Tangent. (and it SHOULD work!) Also, about the UVs, I baked them with the ‘UV Map’ tool right above Texture map. Also, if I do the UVs a different way the same error applies. I’m using Zbrush 4R2.

Any suggestions and help will be rewarded with a brofist-bump!

It would do to mention that I’m on a tight schedule and need this question answered as soon as physically possible. Please! Especially someone from Pixologic, because I have reason to suspect this is a terrible bug.

Hi !

I don’t use Zbrush to generate my Normal Map.
So i don’t know from where comes from your problem.

But if you are in a hurry you can use Xnormal to generate your normal map.

I hope it could help you.

Do you use Xnormal? I’ve heard of it, but never downloaded the thing.

yes i use Xnormal.

You should try it, besides it is free

Thanks! And that you use it speaks a lot, as I can see your work! lol
