Noob Question: Exporting Texture Maps for Element 3D

Hey all, thanks for any help!!

I’m trying to export a model’s texture so that I can import it into After Effects via Element 3D. My problem is that when I apply UVs to the model with UV Master and then Polypaint the model, the texture comes out very wavy. I know this is because of the UVs, so I guess what I’m trying to ask is, how can I paint with Polypaint and export EXACTLY what I’ve painted?

When I use the “Generate from Polypaint” option, it comes out very streaky.
