Good day everyone,
as I wrote in the title, I’m having problems understanding some basic features of ZBrush, I searched around, even in the documentation, but I couldn’t find an answer.
Basically, I’m following a tutorial to create a tree to use in Unreal Engine, and at a certain point I’m asked to create leaves with the following workflow:
- create a plane in any 3D application, UV unwrap it, duplicate it and place it around to create a more believable effect, join everything, export it as .OBJ
- Import the branch mesh in ZBrush, apply the texture (I had problems here because ZBrush refused to load a .tga file…), filp UVs so they are correctly oriented in ZBrush
- create an InserMesh brush and start dragging on the tree to place branches
The question is, how am I supposed to see textures on the branches? I can see the texture while I create the IM brush, but then I can’t find a way to show the texture while I’m actually placing meshes. For this reason, I can’t understand how the result will be, which is very important for me. I’ve been searching on Google things like “Zbrush how to view textures”, “How to display textures ZBrush”, “ZBrush texture not appearing”, and many other things, without succes. Could please someone help me? I’m sure there is a button right under my nose, but as I said, I’m quite new to this software.
Thanks in advance, have a good day
