ZBrushCentral

noob posting, guess who.

This is my current WIP. I am still new to ZBrush. I did do a little topology planning by modeling from ZSpheres, but not enough. How was I supposed to know humans had ears?

I plan on trying to retopology this thing (never done that before, either) to assist in finishing the model…er uh… tool.

Any assistance that anyone can offer in anatomy placement would be greatly appreciated. I think that with more work, this thing could turn out very nicely.

Cheers!
Rob

This is my first retopology. I am reading out of Scott Spencer’s book, “ZBrush Charachter Creation (Advanced Digital Sculpting)”. Awesome book… I dont think it will learn anatomy for me, though.

I am glad to know, that despite the fact that I cannot draw a topo map on a model without creating non-quad outlines, ZBrush still puts out quads.

Good day to all!

Hey recoveringnurbsaddict,
You’ve done the right thing in drawing up your poly-flow before starting retopo… I can see three areas which might have some effect on sculpting or animating.

1, Eyes. In the centre of the eyes there is a spike where six polys join to one vert. You've gotta work out the flow for that. 2, Nose. The base of the nose needs a loop, which should run around the nostrils. 3, Side of the head. I can see a diamond on the side of the head. There is no need for that to be there, it will just cause problems for sculpting. I'm not the best at 3D, but I've done a little paint-over to better explain what i mean. Hope you don't mind man, only trying to help.
