Non organic tutorial

Hi,
I’ve started learning ZBrush. I’m following Keller’s “Introducing ZBrush 4” and I find it very helpful. Also, online tutorials are helping me with more advanced topics.

While I was able to find some 1000 “model a orc’s head” tutorials, a simpler “model a lamp and a table” guide is nowhere to be found. I’m well aware of ZBrush’s digital-clay-sculpting approach, but works like Pixolator’s motorcycle (http://www.zbrushcentral.com/showthread.php?t=95181&page=6&pp=15) or this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z9S41-JMBqE show how non organic modelling is not only doable, but maybe faster and easier than in most traditional modelling softwares.

Unfortunately such “tutorials” are really very long and very interesting watch-me-doing-this type of videos. Watching it I wasn’t able to follow along how they were doing it, what tools with what settings and so on.

Can you point me out to any resource focused around props / architectural / hard surface that actually explains how to do such things in ZBrush step by step? thanks

Check out the Documentation folder found in your ZBrush 4 directory.

One of the PDF’s explains the various features – such as ShadowBox.

Another PDF is all tutorials, including one on how to create a tank in ZBrush.

This one helped me a lot:

This one is very good aw well:

I hope these are useful to you! The first one for me was amazing, Im still learning the second one…
Well… still learning everything actually. GRIN!

Cheers!
