noisemaker plugin question

I’m attempting to user the noisemaker plugin for the first time and am curious as to how others are using it. What is the best way to get a pattern to wrap seamlessly around an object? I want to add a honeycomb pattern around my character and everything looks good in the viewport straight on, but the pattern is really stretched on the top and sides. Do most people use the 3d setting or UV’s to get a nice even pattern?

You need to layout your uv’s and then use the UV layout option if you want to wrap it around an object, otherwise it works like the “projection” and you end up have distortion and stretching around the edges.
