Hi everyone,
I was having at little look at Noise maker today after looking at the classroom videos. When I click on Noise, it opens up the Noisemaker window, unfortunately on my screen I can’t see the top buttons like Noise plugin button to click on them. The Noise window is too high and I cant seem to move it to see the buttons. I am probably being really stupid and missing something quite obvious. Please feel free to laugh and poke fun, but only if you explain the answer.:)
Many Thanks
Not sure… but what is your screen resolution?
Your monitor resolution has to be at least 1280 x 1024. That is the minimum requirement.
Thank you both for replying, I am working off an old trusty mac laptop and have a monitor so I can Zbrush in all its big-ness. I have my resolution set at 1360x768.
The height has to be at least 1024, or higher, and you have 768.
If you assign a hoytkey to the Noise button then when you press the hotkey the NoiseMaker interface will open up at the cursor position (with the top left corner of the interface at the cursor). This should enable you to have the interface exactly where you want.
I set my screen resolution to 1360 x 768 and tried this and the problem I had was, that the top of the NoisMaker interface will not go above the Top Shelf, which cuts off the bottom of the NoiseMaker interface. The ‘OK’ and ‘Cancel’ buttons can not be seen.
Yes, the NoiseMaker window seems to position itself a set number of pixels from the top/bottom edge and 768 is just too small to allow it to be central. However, if you arrange it so that the top half is visible you can:
- Click and drag within the preview window. (This is necessary so that the next steps work.)
- Either
a) Press Enter to accept the noise.
b) Press Esc to cancel.
Having the Noise (or Edit) buttons close to the top of the ZBrush UI will also mean that the NoiseMaker window opens with the top visible.
