No undo when deleting subtool?

Still experimenting with the new Zbrush.
Is it me or is there no undo when you delete a subtool?
Forgive me when this has been asked before, I searched the forum but didn’t find anything similar.

As far as I know you can’t undo it. I’ve accidentally deleted the wrong Subtool before now and undo does nothing to get it back.

Same here, I just lost about an hour of work when I inadvertadly click on the delete button. I thought subtool was great until this little thing happened :frowning:

Is it normal that undo doesn’t work there ???

PS - I know I should save more often…

I would have expected this unwanted behaviour to be fixed in the 3.1 update but apparently not.
Very weird.

I am likewise worried about this drawback in the generally loved ZB 3.1.

Cannot just believe the creators did it on purpose.

Anatom

I have added a feature request for Undo on subtool deletion.

the mesh extraction in 3.0 behaved in the same manner. being outside the undo function. haven’t tested it yet in 3.1

True, but you can delete the extracted mesh, whereas you can’t retrieve a deleted subtool.

yes. sorry if it sounded like i was defending it. they are in both cases an undesirable exemption from the undo stack. but of course not being able to retrieve a deleted subtool the most annoying
