no pants hulk

hulk_wip_1.jpg In theme with some of the recent marvel stuff I started up the big green guy.

crits welcome

No wonder he’s so pissed off.

yeah, and I bet the Banner version is even more pissed…he must be checking
his spam folder constantly for signs of help.

Nice job so far, Sicane. Calf might be a bit severe in it’s ‘split’ and I
assume you’re going to go into much more detail on the hands, but looking
good. Oh, also the eye-cavity seems like it could use a more natural shape
(even tho he’s pissed  )

cheers.

thanks for the notes Wailing.

some changes made

what fun to work on this guy is turning out to be…

Aw man I love it… I just dig big muscular characters.

How did you get him so… BIG? I’m just starting a muscular sculpt and I’d like to get him to these proportions… any tips? Like the hands and feet… and everything else!

Here’s what I’ve got so far, hope you don’t mind me showing it in your thread?

edit: forget my pic, this is your thread :o Would still like tips though!

i think its a good work and hope to see more of your work ( oh by the way i mean the Hulk ;).

wozrush thanks- i started this model as a really sloppy box mesh from max, brought it into zbrush divided once and just started moving mesh around until i got the size i wanted. the silhouette definately happens early.

a few updates- roughed in some better hair and added feet detail.

also spent some time with the retop tools. a little quirky at first but I think with more practice it might be one of my favorite tools

Looks perfect, well done

Hey this is nice just try to give him an action pose and it will make it much better! Cheers!:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:

great model he looks really powerfull:+1: :+1: :+1:

to try and steer away from the ‘normal’ hulk I decided to add some gladiator gear (because the hulk needs it? ) and try out world war hulk. more work is needed and a pose will follow soon, but here’s a few shots with stumpfs bronze mat.

i like the details of the gear … keep it up :+1:

lookin good. I would critique the foot. It appears that the toes and squished into position and need to be properly spaced. The arch of the outside of the foot appears to sit flat (it should raise). The front of the foot appears to short in length and width. One thing that might help with proportion- a babies foot. While a baby will not help with muscle definition- it will help to visualize the proportion of the foot. You also might want to revisit the hand- the thumb in paticular. The thumbnail looks too long, and the joints of the thumb/fingers look bulbous and sausage like.

That critiques said- it is an interesting work that has promise without any changes.

very creative approach to an old idea! i love it alot. he reminds me of “Tiny” from the Crash Bandicoot games.

Wow, excellenjt approach…very ocol looking! :+1:

wow! medieval hulk, nice idea.:+1:

Very cool sculpt. Love the armor. Looks really nice. Keep up the great work. I agree about the hands. They need some more work.

Cool looking world war HULK, great job
