No images on my image plane

Hi everyone,

I’m new to this community and to Zbrush.

I’m running Zbrush 3.12 on my Mac right now and I’m trying to load an image onto my image plane.

I load the image plane from the tools palette, then I load the image in the texture palette, but it doesn’t show up on my image plane. Is there something I need to do to get it to show up there. I thought just by loading it, it would automatically be placed on my image plane.

Any help is appreciated.

The 3.12 documentation from the Download Center (see my signature) explains this. Textures are now applied to individual SubTools – rather than the whole model – via the Tool>Texture Map menu.

Thanks aurick,

I finally figured it out. I was following a tutorial in Eric Keller’s, “Introducing Zbrush” and it said nothing about using the texture subtool. If fact, it says once you import the texture, it should automatically be applied to your object, plane, whatever. So that is what was confusing me.

Can you recommend any other books or videos?

Thanks,
