No Anti-Aliasing in Render ?

I’m playing around with rendering, and I’ve noticed there’s no way to enable anti-aliasing on the edges of your model. In other words, all of the edges which have a background appear harsh and sheered.

Does Z Brush have an anti-aliasing method that I’m not aware of ?

The renders look great with a nice light, but this no anti-aliasing thing is killing me.

Thanks in advance !

Press the AAHalf button!

Thanks for the reply !

I tried this and it does work, however if I export the image, it creates a file with the new half sized dimensions. I’d love to know how I can export the image at it’s orignal document size with the same anti-aliasing.

Any ideas ?

Cheers.

Don’t forget to double the size when you render your image, then size it down and the problem is gone.

AAhalf is a pain
Cause you always have to waist ram making the UBBER document just to get a half that render that looks good.

Not to mention your alpha grab never matches up.

For a better result Click on SOFTRGB and then set your anti setting so that the edge and size settings are a little higher.

SOFTRGB allows this to work correctly.

Higher edge could result in to much blur if set too high.

Super sample can lead to haveing really sharp edges Which makes the stairs even worse by adding a white edge.

Heres a visual aid

Its a balance between Resolution and edge blur that makes a good render;)

Thanks for the advice all !

I’ve tinkered around with settings and have also tried the 1/2 AAF. I’m finally able to get a nice render.
