Nice planet, I think I'll take it...

Atwooki: Brilliant design work!! I bookmarked your page for inspiration. I’ve
never been formally trained in design, so when I see someone with talent, like yourself, I like to study their design to learn from them. The suit definately needs more folds and texture variation. As I’m not working from a sketch, i design on the fly. I like that and at the same time it can be a challenge…
I am happy that you like him so far. I’ll be adding more this week if I’m not too tired after work. I tried last night but was to beat to get my mojo going. And Yes, the monster bubblegum cards that Topps put out in the 60’s/70’s are a BIG source of inspiration for me…Also the works of Robert Williams. I love his work. Oh, and Marcel on these forums is too…

Mytholon: Yes, he is VERY stiff. I find it hard to get a flow going on the bodies when I use Z-Spheres. I might just export a lo-res mesh into Lightwave and rig him up there. Very frustrating. You have to plan the pose and model from there, it seems. I have a tiny bit of Photoshop post in the last body image. Just to bring out the contrast a little.

Bas Mazur: Yeah, The Jetson’s are an inspiration also…

Dickie

Thanks, Dickie - I’m flattered
Interesting to see that you’re working ‘on the fly’ here…you’ve kept the facial structure and muscle tessellation really tight; great stuff!

Can’t wait to see further updates to this guy

cheers
