Newbie texture trouble

Hi all

New here. Having texture problems. Using the latest version of zbrush. I was working through the polypaint tutorial and jazzing up my model. In the tut it then says to go to the texture pallet on the right. All I have is texture map. Texture is not turning up at all so can’t export the texture i’ve been workin on. Any idea’s?

In 3.5 you need to clone the texture that you’ve created. Simply press Tool>Texture Map>Clone, which will copy the texture to the Texture palette so that it can be exported.

This new behavior is due to the fact that 3.5 allows you to apply textures to each SubTool individually – something that wasn’t possible in 3.1 or earlier.

Ah ha. Cheers aurick. And is this exported as a uv map? I went through this forum and found that in the uv map pallet i had to press (guv)? button, then in texture map pallet make uv from polypaint and exported the obj with an image. Is this a proper process? Is there any new documentation on this subject?
