newbie question!

Hello, I am new to Zbrush and have been working my way through my first mesh. So far I have created a high poly model, then created a low poly model by drawing new topology and creating a new adaptive skin. My question is what is the best way to recreate the detail from the original model to the higher subdivisions of my new model without affecting the new topology in subdivision 1. I have a lot of detail that I am hoping that I can preserve so that I wont have to start over from scratch.
Thanks in advance for you help!

Using “Tool>Subtool>Project All” is probably what you want. This will project the details from all the visible subtools onto your active mesh. Usually the default settings are good but you may have to tinker with the projection distance. Usually you get the best results if you start at a low SubD and ProjectAll then go up a few SubD levels and ProjectAll again until you reach the highest level and all the detail is projected.

If you don’t want your low res mesh to change at all Store a morph target on the lowest SubD. Then after the projection restore it to the original state.
