all i need help with is this…i went into the download area here and downloaded some alphas…DL them into the area i think is the right place…C:/programfiles/pixologicZBrush3Zstartup/alphas and one worked when i loaded zb up…but a skin one was not there…i know you can load them from the alpha window but for some reason when i put them into the folder itself so i wont have to load everytime its not there…am i doing something wrong???also…is there a limit on how many alphas you can have in the pallet? I dl’d the all alphas and put them in the C:/programfiles/pixologicZBrush3Zstartup/alphas also and some were there but missing alot…help please…thanks…by the way…love the site…you guys are all very nice and freaking incredibly talented man…crazy…thanks again…
I think it would be the best if you´d download the Alpha+Texture Loaders-Plugin.

The Startup folders are meant for items that you know you’ll use constantly. They’re not meant for items that you think you might need… someday. 
For one thing, every item in the Startup folders is loaded into memory when ZBrush launches. That’s just a little bit less RAM that ZBrush can use for other things (like sculpting!).
Don’t put more than 20 items in a Startup folder. For everything else, load it manually or use something like the plugin that Moni-Poroni pointed you to.
