Hello,
I am a Rhino and Tspline user and want to learn ZBrush to create more artistic models for the jewelry field.
Can you folks give me any suggestions on books and dvd training I should consider?
Thank you in advance, George
I would check out Digital Tutors and Eat 3D. Both of them have excellent training. You’ll want to focus on hard-surface modeling with an initial focus on properly using the initialize tool to get your base shape. You will also want to look at things like shadowbox. HPolish, SPolish, and Trim Dynamic are a few brushes you’ll want to get the hang of for working the edges…
If you use a particular element alot you’ll want to use the insert brush. That way you can create the object once and then insert it into various pieces of jewelry. (chain links, gears, wheels, etc.)
Hope this gets you on your way.
