Just working on a couple of subtle light/shade/shadow/atmosphere/color variations now, before I call it a day for today.
I think that I prefer the bottom one much more than the top one…can see the moss on the rocks around the waterfall alot better in that version.
Will give it a rest for awhile, and look at them with fresh eyes tomarrow…Going color blind at the moment, been staring at them too long this morning while working on them…:D…Tomarrow is another day…Hopefully anyway.

Hi Glenn, The trouble with you is that they are all great. It’s very hard to pick just one! However for me the most dynamic is also one of the most minimal! I especially love #1853.

Hey David…Thanks Man…:)…Not sure about great…That will always be a relative notion, as in compared to who,what where and why…:D…but I do know that i’m having a blast doing them, and as is said,…It’s all about the journy itself, and the pleasure gained while traveling along it’s path…That pleasure is the real treasure and ultimite reward given to and by one’s own SELF…

Hey Thanks David…You are right…Pretty to look at, but does distract from the bear…:D…Toned down that rock and worked on the bears fur some…Still need to do something with the waterfall…haven’t figured out what yet though…but workin on it.

Hi Glenn, I would make the tree in the center look grounded (it seems to be floating now) or loose it all together … there are lot of elements in this scene! Just my two cents! Cheers, David
Just letting it evolve David…:D…Floating trees …Patrick Woodroffe would love that idea:)…Just like his floating landscapes idea that they took and put into the movie Avatar.
Actually, i’m going to put that tree at the edge of the waterfall and have the earth that it is grounded to being eroded away as water has a way of doing in real life…The power of water and time to overcome and undermine all that gets in it’s way,…even the mighty oak…
It’s all good practice David, and the Great thing about digital, is you can keep running with a piece just to see where it goes, without having to worry about a thing, because no versions/visions are lost along the way,…and you don’t have to worry about buying more paint and canvas ether…LOL :D…Just letting the old imagination run free and wild…If it feels good, it must be so, and so do it…:)…Make a hundred, and a few are bound to stand out in the crowd and shine above and beyond the others…Kind of like what you are doing with your abstracts…Could never aford to do this method of creation traditionally, but no limits doing it digitally, unless they are self imposed…and i’m definitely not into opposing my Self or my Muse…
I still have the minimal one that speaks to you…Maybe the crowded one wil speak to someone the same way as that one speaks to you…One just never knows…But both will be there just in case…:D:D:D:D
