I have the feeling that this method of sculpting is the best after dynamesh implementation. Not just to start. You can keep adding primitives, even after a lot of work. You know, when things get messy. Easy to happen in art.
Keep the good work SD.

Thanks David…Really Glad you are enjoying these boxing scenario’s.:)…Your input has really been a huge help along the way…and also Very Much Appreciated.small_orange_diamond:)
Michalis…Thank You…:)…Yep,…I feel pretty comfortable using this method of figure blockin and creation…The Sphere/cube/cylinder approach…same approach as the Master and former teacher of mine that I learned it from…Burne Hogarth, who in turn learned it from studying Michelangelo…and to my total pleasure, this new DynaMesh feature makes useing this method of figure creation so much easier and fun than it used to be while doing it in ZBRUSH…well NOW,…who can resist…not me,…that’s for sure…
Deke…Thanks Man. Really enjoying your works and experiments/explorations also.:)
Thanks for the visit guys…Always very much appreciated and welcomed.:)

Some more work done this morning on this boxer tapeing his hand…Still lots of refinements, corections, and sculpting to do yet on this guy, but it’s a start anyway.

Taking a little break away from the boxers this afternoon, and playing with the light/shade and shadow on a couple of pieces that I was working on a few months ago…Snow Leapard Dragons:D

Oh yeah!!!
These are very cool and exotic … the creature is excellent and the lighting and environment are very interesting as well. Looks like some kind of ice or snow grotto to me. I admire the dedication you have to a project like the boxers … I don’t have that kind of patience. I guess I am a sketcher!
All the best, David
Boxing scene is looking better everytime I see it. Love the eyes on the first dragon:)

Thanks David :)…Hey,…don’t make sketching sound like a bad thing, because that’s all i’m doing also.:D…A place where ideas are born can never be a bad place to be at…as is proven time and time again in your works…The finished product is just a finale destination that can never be reached by a truely creative imagination and mind. All that is between the start and the thought of as finished, are just stops along the way in this journy and path that we all must follow.:)…I really enjoy the ride for itself myself, and all of the stops along the way :)…To hell with the destination…It’s never as good as you thought it was going to be once you get their anyway, because all you will find there,is that the journy is over,… and you spent the entire trip thinking about it, and missed all of the fantastic sights and wonders along the way worrying about some finale distination that never existed to begin with.
Segaholic…Thanks Man :).Glad to hear that you are enjoying these thought progressions…
Good Morning Deke and Thank You also…:)…About those eyes…Hungry eyes…The better to eat you with.
Thanks again for the visit and input guys…Much appreciated and welcomed.small_orange_diamond:)

Taking a few minutes break from the boxer sculpts and piece this morning, and just having some more fun while refining the light/shade and shadow on another piece that I started a few months ago.

S**T … this one really rocks! I love it just the way it is, I would keep it simple, perhaps that grotto environment and very few tchotchkes! IMHO

Thank You David Glad that you enjoy some of my older works that I did a few months ago…I am mainly just resurrecting them in here at present to do some light/shade and shadow studies and am just using them as something to practice on at the moment.
What I learn from them and this practice exercise while using them will hopefully show up in my boxing scenarios, which is what i’m very much into at present:)…I can see lots of possibilities using boxing themes, and it’s a subject that I really enjoy working on, so I hope to continue to have your very valuable input as I go along in here studying this boxing theme and all of the scenarios that it affords…Your input is very very much welcomed and appreciated, and has really helped me out alot…Thanks Again for all of your support and help David…and Keep on Truckin…Your works are an adventure in discovery, which is why I can never resist clicking on your thread whenever you post something…Always a pleasure and surprize…

Hi. I don’t mean to quibble that last gym images is really good, but here comes the but…I’m having trouble with the
heavy bag , its perfect capsule shape and the glaring white…Sorry if that sounds picky but it bothers my delicate senses…LOL

Thanks David…:).Great, …I don’t know about that :D,…But I do know that i’m having fun studying the effects of light/shade and shadow on some of these works that I started a few months ago, and hopefully some of what I learn while doing these little light/shade and shadow studies will show up in these boxing scenarios that i’m currently working on :)…Only the shadow will be able to tell that story. that’s the only thing that’s for sure…
Pygmalion Thank You That guy with the wild snow leapard eyes was my first try at the Spotlight feature in ZBRUSH…Truely one of the most amazing features in this amazing ZBRUSH program, But also just one amazing feature of many more to come, i’m sure…
Thanks again for the kind words and feedback guys…Always welcomed and appreciated…small_orange_diamond:)

Hi Glenn, the last two are both lovely … the first looks as though they are underwater to me, the second looks more like a snowy grotto. I would be hard pressed to pick the one I like best!
Keep it up!
Cheers, David
