Starting to put in the crowd of the enslaved landless people surrounding Emiliano Zapata and his southern division army as they head toward the capital of Mexico City to meet up with Pancho Villa and his northern division army to take control away from the rich bandits controlling the country and give it back to the enslaved people that it was stolen from.

I love this thread, watching an image evolve like this is amazing. I love seeing the start and wondering ok, now where on earth is this going? trying to guess and not even being close.
I love the fact I recognized Emiliano Zapata with out realizing it at first, that was very amusing.
One question: am I right in thinking that they are all coming in a gate of some sort?

When I first got ZBrush and for a good long time after I could not understand what on earth 2.5D was for now with you and a number of other people here I understand completely and am constantly amazed.

Thanks!
Mealea

Mealea Ying…Thank you. …I usually just take a general idea for a composition and concept and run with it, or I should say that most of the time it runs with me, or better put leads me to where it’s going…Always an adventure with unexpected results for me that way, and also keeps me interested as to where it’s going as I work on it
In answer to your question…They are in a slow trot…about like the pace of a parade…some slowing down and even stopping for a second or two…and some lunging forward in short burst of energy.

A great DVD that you should get if you have the chance to and can is …INTRODUCTION TO ZBRUSH 3
Tools and Workflow with MEATS MEIER
WWW THEGNOMONWORKSHOP.COM

He has an excellent section on illustration in his DVD which goes into great detail on how to use 2.5D in ZBRUSH…not to mention alot of other grat stuff that will be very useful to you…over time and in the long run…

lose the heads above his shoulders, they are far too defined for being so far back, its distracting. keep it going

June 10, 2011

Framedworld…Thanks. Don’t want to lose them…will put them back in the distance instead…When i’m finished with the forground, they will look like they are back there where they belong…Color Values will be key, and come into play in the end…
