The point being, what’s the point.
Say for example…just as an example, a person other than the person who did the original work were to create an Orc,Batman, Superman or… even a room full of real statues from antiquity and called it their own piece of art in this forum…would they be called up to bat to explain why they think it is theirs…I think not.
I called that piece my own,for alot of reasons, one being that I made him painting himself instead of someone else as in the original…changes the whole concept…Everyone in the workshop agreed that the changes I made were enought for me to call it my own…It is only in this forum that I seem to have a problem with that…A little hypocrisy i’d say after seeing all of the copies of other peoples creations and original ideas orcs ect. ect. ect…being pased off as originals by the ones who are posting them in here…I have never seen such hypocrisy…
I agree with Lemo in his statement a couple of pages back…Save these pointless opinions for private messages…because that’s where they belong.
They are not positive contrutive crits, that will help in a positive way a spacific piece of work,… they are just pointless personal opinions about a style, technique, concept ect… and serve no purpose except to create a negative end result…If that is a goal, then it is best served elswhere, not in this forum, and especally not in my skechbook in this forum…PERIOD

What are? Critiquing art posted in a public forum? That is the the most absurd thing ever. If one doesn’t want to hear the potential positives and negatives of his work, it is he who should not post. Or only pass his works to those guaranteed to gush. Style, technique, concept, and execution with Zbrush is what these forums are about!
But that is where, well one of many places, that you and I diverge. All we have as a community to facilitate one another’s growth as artists is the criticism (remember that word means positively and negatively, the good and the bad) we offer one another. He who takes offense at such responses, or believes himself to be above it, is not seeking to improve himself through his peers, but only to garner praise. We all like to hear good things, but hearing the bad is what makes us better, should we have the fortitude to rise to the occasion.
From me Mr Sleepy Soul, there is no attack, only an honest participating arm of the forum.

Hey buddy, you’ve certainly been courting controversy since I last stopped by! :lol: Well, what’s art without a little suffering… keep believing.
As far as a piece about big industries being evil is concerned, that’s neither naive nor foolish, it’s your opinion and one that many would agree with, given that many large companies are driven by the wants of their shareholders.
We have to look after our planet, it’s the only one we have - to me, your message reads that we’re failing to do that, and that THAT path leads to ruin.
A fine message worthy of art, more so than most others here, including my own
