New Works

Talster…THANK YOU… Painting and Sculpture are like a matched pair of socks…one is useless, unless it is acompanied by the other,…that is of couse, unless you just have one foot .

Blue Thousand…THANK YOU. I’ll just continue to be myself, and if that blows peoples minds, then so be it… I’m a little late entering into this new 3D technology, but I for the life of me, can’t think of a better way to end the game.
By the looks of your works at present, i’m sure you will go really far with it, if you just keep enjoying what you are doing, and spend your lifetime chasing that pleasure…That’s the secret that lets you grow stronger and get better, and it’s also the key to the lock, that enables you to unlock all of your dreams…:+1:

Just experimenting with the LIGHTING while in the BEST render sitting in Z Brush…I figure that these piles of bones will be perfect to/for studying the way the light system works in Z Brush…Tons of new stuff for me to learn yet in Z Brush…with alot of FREE time on my hands to do it in, which is …GREAT…

Some more fun with, and work done on this piece.
Total Z Brush, except for the antelope which I painted freehand from scratch in the Corel Painter #10 program, and was a copy I did from a 3D sculpture done from an artist who does great 3D animals whose name is QUARDART…He took his referene image model from a photo, so I guess the credit for the antelope goes to the original person who photographed the antelope, whoever it was…

post #274, second and third renders.
Very well done. :+1: :+1: :+1: Strong composition.

THANK YOU Michalis… I always think composition…even in my cropped sections of paintings that i’m working on…I notice that you do the same in your works also, and it’s that compositional aspect that I like in your works, and is what first catches my eye, and keeps it caught while viewing the subject at hand…I had a great painting teacher years ago, who always emphasized composition above all else…He said it was key to good work, and that without the understanding of it, even the best detailed work , of any subject would be lacking, and obviously so to those who understood composition, and also to even those who don’t know anthing about composition, but know it when they see it, by the fact that it keeps their attension on the piece for more than a couple of seconds.
What he said always stuck in my head,… so thanks for apreceating the compositional effort in my works…It’s what I strive for in my own work, and is what I look for first in other peoples work,… above all else…
