New Work!
really really great mansmall_orange_diamond:) I have a question: How many subtools did you use for making something like this? is it 3d or 2.5d?(actually two questions haha ;)).
@ Diablo
Glad that you like it my friend! It’s one tool and I use micro mesh which applies a second piece of geometry on every point in the original object. then you have to use BPR to render for the final image. it’s so interesting because the look of the object changes according to the way the normals face and also the amount of sub divisions you have. You can also change the BPR into geometry but you need a lot of ram, the one time I was able to do it it was 20 million polygons. I have 8 gig of Ram.
I hope some of that makes sense.

Page 138! Congratulations.
You have explored the abstract field like almost no one else here in ZBC!
I really like the Straw" like renders, they are extremely lovely.
@ Knacki
Thanks a lot my friend! Glad that you enjoyed these … I am always experimenting. My wife and I cracked up the other day over “Easter Putin” thanks for that!

hi David, thanks for your instruction.very useful for me.you know what, there is something special in your works.I mean everyone’s trying to make something like high res detailed character or such things but I think your works are much better, they’re so full of life(I mean like page 40).anyway I’m really glad that you make these.thank you again.GOOD LUCK.
@ Diablo
Thank you so much! I really appreciate the kind words. I also enjoy the Orcs, Mechs, Zombies etc … just not my thing. I got to do what i do!
All the best, David
ah, the last two look like spikey meobius ribbons … so, you relearn maya and mentalray, what happened to keyshot, you made amazing renders with it?
@ Kokoro
Hi Doris, I only had an extended trial version of Keyshot. For what I do I really like the Zbrush render. I am using Maya for different reasons Animation, dynamics, particles etc that I may then bring into Zbrush for my own look! Thanks as always for the kind words and your visit!
Cheers, David
