New VDM Brushes in 4R8

I’ve bI’ve been working to create some of these VDM brushes. I think they could be really useful in some of jewelry I’m working on but am having a problem with this border around the desired geometry. Can anyone give me a heads up on how to correct this ? I’ve been back and forth with the Brush>Depth slider but no change. Hi

You’ve got a gradient in your brush, so it’s going to have that in the brush.

you can adjust the RF (radial fade) on that brush to probably fix that issue on this brush. But it looks like your VDM brush was generated incorrectly.

I regenerated the VDM. This time I hit the shift key to make sure the plane was exact.
Tried the radial fade slider at all settings.
This helped a ton but still have a slight line around the geometry.

Perhaps there is another setting somewhere that I need to do

I do not get the same issue as you’re getting there. RF should remove that either way.

Does this happen on any VDM brush you make? Even simple ones?

try adjustin the focal shift under the ‘space’ menu

I think I got it. I had soft edges as well so I hit the shift key and snapped the plane square to the front and then masked off the edge of the mesh flipped it so everything but the edges are masked and in deformation slide morph to grid all the way to the right. Got it pretty well I think :slight_smile:
