New User: How Do You Bake Normal Map from 2 Seperate Meshes?

Hello, I’ve seen the UV Master tutorials on how to bake between subdivisions, but if I were to make a retopology mesh over a high poly mesh, what is the Zbrush workflow for baking normal maps from the high poly to the low poly mesh?

Thank you, you don’t have to go into deep detail, I’ve been studying the interface and so on, I just need to know what the basic procedure is.

There are 3 new videos in the Zclassroom covering how to bake meshes inside of Zbrush. A military climbing shoe.

Yeah I watched that, and he was baking from subdivisions, I’m asking if I can do something like take topology brush over a portion of a high poly mesh and then bake the high poly mesh over the low poly mesh made from topology brush

No, and Yes. Zbrush doesn’t do ray-casting…so No. Zbrush does do projections, which then can be baked…so Yes.

You have to project your LP onto your HP then bake your subD levels. The process is covered in the videos I mentioned.

Maybe I’m not understanding your question.
