New to ZBrush

Hi Guys,

I am new here on the forums and would like to ask a quick question. I am testing with various game engines and currently learning game development. I have recently started to use CryEngine 3 and really love the look and workflow of the engine. I recently got into 3D modelling and purchased 3D Coat to learn sculpting and 3D modelling in general (UV mapping, retopology, polygons, all the beginner stuff :P).

I have seen what ZBrush can do and would really love to purchase this programme to add to my workflow (most properly making this my main modelling software). I have checked the website and I am not sure what version to get, there is a few options ‘Single, Volume, Floating, Academic’. I am not sure what version to get, I am not a student (although I am going to be enrolling at a University here in the UK this year to study game development). What version would you recommend?

I’d recommend Single.

Volume and Floating are geared more towards larger businesses (volume requires at least five seats, floating requires at least ten). Academic is a decent option, but when you can own a full commercial product for only a few hundred more then you might as well grab the commercial one instead.
