New to Zbrush

Hello all, I am very interested in Zbrush but have no idea how it works. I have been a garage kit builder/ producer and also do mold making and casting. I stumbled across this site and was stunned by the incredible degree of detail and originality by the artists here.
So I want to learn Zbruch, I have a mac that runs Snow Leapord,but should I get a PC to run Zbrush, also I attempted to download the trial for zbrush but as of yet nothing.
Hoping to get some direction form the members here as that I am very eager to create.

Not sure if you have any direction as of yet…
basically you would need to obtain zbrush…
I think you can get a free trial from www.pixologic.com
You should have at least 4 GB of ram to run it smoothly and be able to subdivide the model to at least a few million polygons
You also have to make sure you have a good video cart…
Other then that mac or pc, doesn’t really matter
I also highly recommend investing in a tablet…
Now for tutorials…
You can find them on again, pixologic.com and some on this site as well.
I have also found very helpful tutorials from lynda.com but you have to pay the membership fee to use that site.
