Hi, Im using windows 10 and a WACOM intuios tablet …Im having a hell of a time trying to zoom in and out…what are the special key strokes or what. I hold alt and sometimes it will work or its zooms in way close or way far I cannot get it back.
Hello Timothy,
The controls for the two ZBrush navigational options can be found here:
http://docs.pixologic.com/user-guide/customizing-zbrush/navigation/
There’s one subtlety in either the standard or right click method. It’s the order of keypress and pen action.
Standard method - press ALT, pen on tablet, release ALT, drag pen to zoom, lift pen. However if you press ALT again before lifting the pen you’ll flip into Pan mode and snap back to a view size prior to the zoom. So it’s KEY down, PEN down, KEY up, zoom, PEN up.
Right Click method - press CTRL, press and hold pen right button, drag to zoom, release pen right button, release CTRL. If you release CTRL before releasing the pen right button you’ll flip into pan mode and snap to a view size prior to zoom. So it’s KEY down, BUTTON down, zoom, BUTTON up, KEY up.
I use right click because you can zoom with the pen over the object but early on I was forever KEY up before BUTTON up and loosing the zoom.
Probably makes more sense doing it than righting about it.
hth. Cheers.
