really nice work man!!
looking forward to more updates!
tweaked proportions of the legs and redid the back of the popeye model I’m doing, first tests of the tattoo, and baked out everything. currently 35k tris hires: http://i.imgur.com/xX6NClL.png
skin shader looks awesome.Marmoset 2??
yep
great update
the new back looks nice
awesome work!
playing around with more complex lighting setups in Marmoset Co, their tools are pretty slick, did a base pass on the clothing, just a quick rough out in dDo. Too dark I think, still playing around.
Tweaking still…

Opened the eye, created a paralax normal mapped refraction on the eye, added hair cards to the jaw (just a few) for scruff and lashes. Tweaked the corncob pipe to be lighter in color. Still chugging along

i am amazed! popeye was the very first cartoon character i ever saw, even before mickey mouse…lol, and you really managed to give him the feeling i had when looking at the drawings …great work!
Thank you!
great work
can`t wait to see this finished , I think the eye is a bit too red (maybe it is just me ) , great job so far
I’ll take a look at it, thanks!
okay so I’m sorry for the radio silence, been busy at the studio for a bit. Here is an update to popeye (still going with that)
and here is another realtime piece I’m doing in Marmoset, sort of like a last moments kind of piece.
cool!~I like it!
thanks!
really like the head, very nice
thanks its fun playing with Marmoset’s skin shader. Its really capable of a lot considering its realtime.
Hey Matthew,
The real time head looks amazing. I love how it tells a story of an old man is who to tired to fight his illness and is on the edge of giving up hope, atleast that is how I see it.
Your style is truly unique and, without sounding like a creep, you are a true inspiration and keep on rockin!
