New Sketch book and Beta

thanks all, heres a small snippet of a naturalistic creature anatomy tutorial I’m prepping

simple sketch tonight:

just doodling, haven’t limited myself to a speed sculpt constraint in long time, so this is my first “hour from a sphere” sculpt in a while. In actuality it was more like 40 min, I was just focusing on more form than anything else, figuring out the flow.

Faun sculpt that I started, roughing in some stuff now, just doodling tonight from a cube this time. Lots just blocked in, keeping it rough for now, mostly doodling

Nice Faun ! Although his pose looks very dynamic in front view, I can not say the same for the side view, but I guess you will refine this as this is still at a rough stage.

thanks! and yea the pose is a little stale for now, just so that sculpting is a bit easier on the bigger forms, I’ll be making the pose much more asymmetrical and hopefully a little more gestural in a another pass, just trying to lock down the forms here

2 AM. continued my cube sketch, adding more forms here and there. I’m recording all of it too, idk why, but I figured why not.

looking good! I like the forms and the gesture, especially around the shoulders.

looks interesting, yes please post the recordings if possible, i would love to watch them.

I’ll think about posting a teaser soon

playing with the face now on my sketch from a cube, busy all weekend, so I didn’t get to touch it until now, idk how I feel about it

couple of tests, sort of pushing marmoset to see if it can be a psedo concept renderer for sculpts, just presenting a model with test lighting. I kinda like it so far, might explore it a bit

so I ended up retopoing the whole thing and doing a proper game asset, so far its about 8k tris. did an initial texture pass on the whole thing, might want to keep the skin tones more human esque

Speed sculpt from a sphere tonight, about an hour and a half, just a torso, playing with forms. trying some different techniques

Looks pretty damn good! Lots of coiled energy. I’m beginning to recognize your style even from thumbnails.

I like your approach - rough and quite precise.

Thanks guys! I’ll have the video up soon

These are really cool Matthew!:+1:

thanks santis

Vid crashed on export, but I’m going to rerender it tomorrow as the file is still good (stupid after effects) anywho, while I was waiting I did a few tweaks here and there, Idk where this one is going. in the mean time you guys can go to my youtube channel youtube.com/framedworld to see some finished vids ready to go. This one will be in the same style as the others.
