(simply)rigged him, and did a pose test to make sure the maps held up, as well as doubling resolution for 4k tris to around 8k tris. made rigging a lot easier. modeled quads, the triangulation here is automated by marmoset. Now onto his summoner :wink:

movie distracted me from sculpting tonight haha, I actually forgot zbrush was open, anywho like a 27 min update? haha on another note, how have I not seen the Raid before. Jaw on the floor :open_mouth:

other work took up my time, so I had to put his on hold for a bit. but I found some time today to continue it. Gotta figure out a hairstyle, if any ideas I’d love to hear. Still a rough, gonna be doing detailing soon.

I realized the images was a bit large, so heres a smaller one, for smaller monitors:

thanks, I hate doing it, but you gotta push through. I fixed the pants, I’ll post that later with a larger update. I hate doing it all by hand, but until I can figure out marvelous designer (not intuitive at ALL) its how I’ll have to do it.

preview of the hair cards I created for him, they will be the ones used in the realtime model. they’re about 1000 tris so I’m def okay with that. They will be textured with a high transparency, and look wispy, also he has boots, and I began to rework the pants a bit, but I’m holding off from that fully until I see how it looks textured.

What’s your workflow on that detailed skin? Any special pore brush or alpha? kinda love it ! keep up the good work, very inspiring

I’ll be doing a digital tutors tutorial on that coming up. but in short its a combination of custom alphas and using a scatter brush to throw around different pores.
