New MudBox Gallery!

I dont think santa will allow that.
(yes I will!)

The answer to this is 42!

Lemo

Curiously enough, it is. Select the Polymesh3D [Star] tool - the one tool every modeler must know about! - then look at the Tool palette ‘Item Info’ slider.

From the MB FAQ page:

How much will Mudbox cost?
Pricing has not yet been announced. Though Mudbox is a highend industrial tool in its genesis and focus, it is important to us that Mudbox be accessible to home users and students, and Mudbox pricing will reflect this concern.

In product announcement parlance this may be interpreted as expensive but with educational discounts.

Don’t expect much and you won’t be disappointed.

Does this mean the mudbox kids, got screwed?

Just surpised to see ID softwares monster; created in zbrush and displayed in pixologics gallery is now and in mudbox gallery…
Lokks like pixologic and ID partnership is over…

why would you bail on something that you will get for free( i say free, because if you bail out on something i assume you currently have a working version of 2.0 as it is, and the upgrade will be free.) more tools in your toolbox. it would be a bit idiotic to skip certain tools that could possibly take your models to a whole new level by using zbrush, than not using it because you are too stubborn to learn a suck it up and use it as it is. if its free then why bail?

Rumors say that Daz3D is distributing MudBox!

For .99

How can you use if it is not release? Free means nothing if you do not have the software.

Reread my post the scenario is based on X being release before Y.
Would you buy X even if the upgrade to Y was free but Y was still not availble to public.

Your all wrong i bought the pre release with discount from walmart

It’s all pretty much like working with Notepad: once you get the hang of it >> you’ll love it!

so you already bought X( cuz bailing out on something would suggest you already got it ), and then theres product Y, which you will need to buy, which also does the same things that X already does, minus the 2d part ( thats a big minus imo )

X=zb
Y=mb

an upgrade to X is free, which does even more than Y does.

Y is not released.
upgrade to X is not released, but X is already here.

you have 3 options

a.)do you take the upgrade( which is free?) to X?
b.)do you buy Y and add it to your toolbox?
c.)do you buy Y and stop using X, cuz of some personal issue with X( even though it allows you to do a lot that Y doesnt. )

a or b make the most sense.
c does not, which was someones suggestion earlier in this thread.

your arguement makes no sense to me man.

@ johnny blaze:

This all is very funny!
Did any of you sign a sort of a contract (“I will never use anything like X, come what may”), added some severe penalties if you forget about that?

If not so, then it must be that you are not allowed to buy/use Y if you already use X!?

What about “W” and all those others, lying around on your machine?
If you start up “D” (you might have as many apps), do you first uninstall the rest?

There are - at the moment - three candidates (W+X+Y:D) - and I mean to use them all.

Not to forget about Notepad!!

I dont think I would get mudbox unless it had texturing capabilities aswell, zb just rocks!

Umm i don’t know but shouldn’t that say

“Arguing with people on the Internet is like competing in the Special Olympics. Even if you win, you’re still retarded.”

Don’t wanna be a misery-guts, but that isn’t funny mate, I’d say it’s a little below the belt

I just hate that term ‘retarded’ it’s so bloody offensive.

Sorry, mate, probably just me., I’ve been a support worker for people with various types of disability, so it just get’s me wound up a bit
