New Monster ELFUFU

Heres a monster im working on to show the extreme changes you can obtain from your models once you have a set topology… this Gorilla monster based on Carlos Huantes design was done using the topology of this very Old devil character i did a whiiiile back.
I will do a blendshape anim to show later… its very cool and the possibilities are limitless … once you have 1 animated mesh you can basically reuse this for everything you do that has the same TYPE of features… anyways its got No bump, spec I will be texturing him this week hopefully and adding some Fur…

for more info on carlos Huante go to http://www.carloshuanteart.com please note i made some severe changes to the drawing so i am not being totally faithful to the designs…but hey i have to match things exactly at work…i wanna chill when i get home  OK and maybe i was a bit Fan Boyish about Kind Kong, and wanted to do a freakin ape…so sue me…

looks very cool to me…look forward to the demo animation of the blending…what are ya gonna use for that? maya?

he is missing that dangly thing (forget it’s name) in the back of the throat…which is ok but I found myself looking for it with that wide open grin ya got there.

can’t wait to see this guy colored up.

yes this really looks awsom:+1:
And i am looking forward to that blending thing aswel…i wonder how it works indeed…making a normal looking face into a creatior from hell true out a blendshape…and if this future is only done in Zbrush. (want to try to use that techniek with the models i create from Zbrush in lightwave reason why i ask)
Good Luck really looking forward!:sunglasses:

amazing detail the gums position looks a bit odd to me ,but still reaaly goood;)

Wow, nice modle. :+1:small_orange_diamond:+1: The detail and the teeth are outstanding :]
And http://www.carloshuanteart.com this page, there is some realy scary stuff over there :] Thanks for the link to this side

ya the gums are awkward in the sense that they are further out than the rest of the mouth but that is the way they are in theconcept art…

thanks guys for the kind words…
Ps the hanging thingy majig in tha back of the throat WILL be added soon.

Miguel

Great work elfufu - Amazing to see what can be morphed out of well-tuned topology :+1:
Looking forward to seeing your blend anim too

RE:‘dangly-thing’ - epiglottis

Nice…really nice! Very inspiring surface work. Can’t wait to see the next round.

One tiny cc…the flap of skin on the left and right side corners of the mouth look like they’re attached to the gums (from what I can tell in the renderings). Give it just a slight edge, roll over the gums and attach them “underneath” the lips. I love the texture of that area and the tongue.

Uh…uvula guys…

very nice !
you really captured the tension of the face very well

Some bump Details…still have some patchiness going on…and some areas need more attention … will be adding more soon… The neck, and back of heads bump is all messed up but thats cause there will be fur there.

also the eyes themselves, need more tension… will be addressing this soon.

Very nice work,

One comment : what happens when the poor beast closes its mouth? Do the bottom teeth fit with the design of the upper?

great as always, I love your work !
congratulations for your last demo reel :+1:
see ya, man

Hi Miguel Amazing update and these details, great work. This render is ZB? Do you making with displacement? Keep it up man, I think could be top row, no? 5 stars from me

Watching this progress with bated breath…Fantastic details!

Fantastic updates, Elfufu :+1:
I like the way you’ve subtlely edited and brought in the corners of the
extended and stretched lips amongst other things; nice changes
