New Introduction

Hello everyone. I just wanted to introduce myself and say hello to everyone. My name is Brandon I work for Delta Airlines and live in the south eastern United States (Atlanta to be exact). I just recently stumbled upon ZBrush. It looks like an amazing piece of software and something I would love to put my extra time into learning as a new hobby. I am no professional artist by any means but I do love to draw and create characters and such in my spare time.

I am however wondering. What other software/hardware components would you all suggest I go buy to make this an enjoyable experience for me? Do you all use a mouse to do the sculpting or do you use a pen/tablet set up? If so what would you all recommend? Thank you all in advance and I look forward to getting to know you all here on the forums and looking at everyone's awesome work!

Well I guess its nice to see that noone on this forum is actually going to be any help or kind enought to say hello.

Sorry that your introduction wasn’t as received as you had hoped, but let me try to help with that. I’ve been practicing Zbrush for a little bit now, and must say that it is just an amazing program. Easily a must have for any artist who is interested in any kind of 3d modeling.

As for what makes the program more accessible, I suggest a Wacom tablet. They are very easy to use and feel very natural. If you have not heard of them before, please check out this link: http://www.wacom.com/. I highly suggest the Intuos series.

Also, a pretty good book that helped me with the program:

I highly recommend it

Good luck!!

Welcome, greetings, trackball mouse and Wacom Intuos 4. Any history with what other software? It will take time to become proficient, as with all else. You’ll probably want some image editing program, there are many, I use Paint Shop Pro. Explore the software…
