New Guy Needs Help plox!

Hello everyone:D. I am a new member, but I have been viewing the artwork on this website for years now.

I am working for a character project for my college game design class. I plan on making a high poly then baking the normals and ambient onto the low poly

one of the problems I am having is making the clothing look “believable” specifically regarding the folds and creases. also the who figure of the body looks weird to me. I attached an 2 design plans (one being older) for my character, and I could really use some help/constructive criticism.

Any help would be greatly appreciated (even if it’s like “this is teh sux sauce, fix da topology” lol)

Hey there, I pointed out a few thing that I think will help you out on what I believe to be the newer of the pictures:

Omg, wow! thank you so much! I didn’t expect you to go as far as to make notes on the actual picture! nevertheless I am extremely grateful for the gesture. All of the comments really were awesome, and I will make the changes as soon as possible.

that face definitely needs some love lol, I just made a quick sculpt to differ from the previous version.

before I go back to modeling I will need to study more clothing references harder, because as you stated, a lot it doesn’t conform right to the material.

the pants are basic jeans’, the jacket is leather, and the under hoodie is cotton. (sorry about that)

Hello everyone. Just a quick update on the Wip

datdudegil was awesome enough to outline some of the tweaks and changes I should add. I am very grateful of that, and I worked very hard to improve my character using their guidelines

it’s still a WIP, I am still meeting my overall concept for the character. I really need to work on that face, though it is developing a bit better than the previous one. I should add the eye balls at some point!

I will continue to improve my character, and I would still greatly appreciate any type of help/constructive criticism.
