new from polyoaint(wireframe artifacts)

hello

i have an assignment due in two days and have been texturing my character in zbrush however when i do a new form polypaint i get some sort of wireframe artifacts as in the artifacts resemble my lowpoly edghflow

i well be greatfull for any help

I havn’t seen this happen with polypaint data but have seen similar results when baking normals. If you havn’t already, you might want to check if your UV’s are welded. ZB almost always breaks UVs when a mesh is exported so if you’ve done a lot of back and forth and you havn’t welded your uv’s each time, chances are they are broken/split. if this is the case, it’s an easy fix. export back to maya, weld your uv shells and then reimport back to ZB.

thanks for the reply, unfortunatley it didnt work, the uvs were allready welded

you were right however maya couldnt see that the uvs wernt welded, i had to export it to max to see the problem
