New displacement map each time??

If I have sculpted a character in a t- pose based on a lower poly model should I create a new displacement map each time I transpose the character into a different pose? The rendering would be done in an outside package such as max/modo etc . Also - should I make a new uv map each time ? I ask specifically about the displacemt map because each time the mesh is posed new distortion happens on arms etc for muscle expansion etc and it seems like it would make sense to do a new disp map each time . Does that sound right or am I creating unneeded work? More or less just thinking aloud …
