New decimation plugin question

Can decimated meshes be sculpted on again in Zbrush? Also, if you had a file polpulated with high poly subtools, could you decimate some of the “finished” subtools, and then re-populate the file with these new decimated subtools to save ram and add more subtools? I hope that made sense.

when i saw the plugin that was my first thought as well. so i tried it on a model, and its not very likely, if you look at the mesh after decimation it gets really messed up and deforms very badly with the brushes. i suppose a slight decimation could work but its probably not worth it.
try it on a model and you’ll see. icky.

of course if you don’t plan on further sculpting or subdividing those decimated tools then you should be okay.
