need some info on how to make bat wings

Im new to Zbrush, but I got a pretty good model going with it now only thing is I need to put some bat like wings on. Im going to use Zspheres for the arm of the wing but im not sure how to do the membrane in between the fingers. Was thinking about using a plane3d obj poly meshing it and try to edit it to look like the membrane, but I wanted to know some other strategies.

If you’re using ZSpheres then you can simply increase the Tool>Adaptive Skin>Mbr value. This tells ZBrush to stretch a membrane between the ZSphere segments.

Doing this you need to have the bare minimum of ZSpheres. For example, a T shape can have just four ZSpheres: one at the tip of each segment and one at the intersection. ZBrush will then stretch a membrane to create more of a triangle. It will only stretch the membrane between the first ZSpheres out from the interection, which is how you can control where membranes appear on a complex figure.

After you’ve created your skin, you can then edit that new model to build up the “meat” of the wings – the arms that support the membrane.
