please help is really frustrating
is there a way to reselect the object so i can keep working on it?
thanks in advance

pd: sorry for my bad english

I found that the best way to use the projection master is in combination with the ZAppLink tool. You can find that in the download section here, just search the forum.

And here’s how I use it:

Here is a short explanation about the ZApplink:

  • Load the mesh in ZB.
  • Go to the Texture menu and import a basic texture which has the size you want
for your final texture. (.psd files load much faster than jpgs.)
  • If necessary, flip the texture vertically.
  • Go to the Material menu and where it says “1 Mat Cap Red Wax” click the 1
(it gets red) and type 4, press enter. Now the basic ZB material is white which
will give you the original color of your textures.
  • Go to the Tools menu - submenu Texture and press “Colorize” (I’m not sure
if that really is absolutely necessary, but I think it is).
  • If you want to you can subdivide the model to get a smoother look (Ctrl-D)
  • Now rotate the mesh until it shows the portion of body you want to do; for a
human texture I imagine the angle would need to correspond to the pose of the
model in the photo. To get more detail: zoom in
  • Then you click ZAppLink (it is hidden in “Document”, I always attach that menu
to the side bar). ZB asks you if you want to drop the model, say yes.
  • If it’s the first time you are using the plugin it may open another application and
not the one you want to paint the textures with. In that case go back, click ZApplink
again but before confirming the drop go to the options button in the dialogue and
    choose your favourite image editor.
  • When the model is dropped a screenshot is transferred to the image editor, in my case it’s Photoshop. It usually has 3 layers: the base (not editable), the working layer and the shadows layer (don’t edit this one either). I always switch off the shadows layer for a better view.
  • Now you can copy and paste the texture from the photo, you can smudge and clone
and everything. Just work as you would normally.
  • When you’re finished with that part of the model you’re texturing, merge all the new
layers you made back to the original working layer (it’s called Layer 1, don’t change
the name). It may work without merging them, but I’m not sure about that.
  • Switch the shadows layer back on.
  • Save the file without changing the file name.
  • Switch back to ZB.
  • ZB will ask you if you want to pick up the model and accept the modifications.
Confirm and the changes are applied.
  • Now you can rotate the model again to get a good view of the next portion of body
to texturize and start ZApplink again and so on and so on, until you have finished
    applying the texture everywhere.
  • IMPORTANT: To save your work go to the Textures menu. Flip it vertically again.
Then choose Export. That saves a psd file with your final texture. The files which
are generated in between (the ones you edit in Photoshop) are just for transfer,
they are overwritten each time you use ZApplink. So make sure you export the
texture map frequently to save the various stages of your work.

Rather than using Projection Master for what you’re trying to do, you should use PolyPaint. See the online docs in my signature; there’s a section on the subject.
