Hey people, I’m new to zbrush so I’m not sure if I’m just not missing something…
I’m painting in 2.5D and as I paint layers build up, but of course there not always even… and sometimes as I paint they gt really rough I would like to know if there is a way to smooth out areas of my painting, I tried using blur but it’s useless as it doesn’t let me paint in that area any more…
I need some pointers…
Two things,
-
Make sure ZADD is checked on the blur brush, mine comes in with it unchecked making it seem like it’s not working, once you check turn on zadd and bump up the strength there you will notice it works very well as a smoothing brush. Also keep rgb/mrgb turned on to get color information blended.

To avoid layers “building up” you can press the Store Depth History button under the document palette to prevent brushes like the single layer brush from overlapping and raising portions where they overlap and instead create a nice even level while overlapping.
