Need help posing a model

Hi there,

I am fairly new to Zbrush and I’ve been working on this model for the last couple of weeks (model is still WIP). Model is currently at 1 million polygons and the body is still a dynamesh as I will be adding the details after I pose the character (other items are subtools, some dynamesh, some subd).

What I would like to know is how to pose it effectively without losing much detail. I have already tried with Transpose master but I didn’t have enough control as my model has too many polygons. Is there a way to get the current model into really low poly for easier posing and the projecting the details onto posed character? Also, is it possible to have his skirt follow the leg movement/position?

I am really struggling with this stage right now and I don’t know what else to do.

I don’t see any reason why you can’t zremesh a copy of your model/subtools now for easier use of TPose master.
Play with the zremesher options to get the best results and polycount.
You can reproject detail onto the zremeshed copy. After Zremeshing, you can subdivide up to pick up the details from your dynamesh sculpt.

Once it’s posed you can always redynamesh a copy of the posed mesh and reproject details back to the posed zremeshed model.

For future reference, when doing characters like this, you might want to keep your character symmetrical while sculpting, and only turn off symmetry AFTER the model is posed (like for his face, in your example)

Worked my way around it and managed to get it done with your help.

Thank you for help and advice, I appreciate it.
