I ordered and will returned a studio xps 9100 from Dell and was very unsatisfied with the way it was constructed. It is a 64 bit configuration with 8 gb of ram. I did not l ike the way the cd drive bay works, inorder to put a cd in the drive, one has to get into the computer and hit the eject button first before it opens. also the usb slots, some are on the top of the computer making it look weird, they stick up like ears. I did not like the sliding panels to open empty slots, those sliding panels will wear out and will just drop down. I hate windows 7, it just has too many options that one get lost finding stuff. I have a dell now but it is better build. I am using window XP and like it but it only comes with 32 bit and only 4 gb of ram, but it only show it has 3 after I upgraded from two gb to 4 gb. I needed the extra ram for my models.
I was wondering where can one get a simple computer just for animation without all the bells and whistles, but with 8 or more gb of ram and 32 bit.
