Need help creating thickness for dino skull

Hi everyone.
I’m new to Zbrush and have been working with it for a few weeks now.

I’m making a dinosaur skull and have cut out the eye sockets and various orifices . But now I am having trouble creating the thickness of the skull. Since I am unable to sculpt on both sides without one side doing the opposite, I’m in a bit of a bind.
I saw the tutorial on mesh editing with a zsphere, and tried it that way lots of times, but either it’s not working for me, or I’m not working for it.

Searched the forums here, but I guess either no one has ever done animal skulls, or has ever asked about skull thickness, beacause I was not able to find anything on creating either. …or I ran out of keywords to type.

I have been working on this for an entire day now and through tons of crashes. I didn’t have any problems when I was working on a human skull, so I don’t know why it’s happening with this dino skull.

I’m sure there is an easy way to solve this.

If anyon can help me, I would REALLY appreciate it.

tool>subtool>extract (thickness slider next to it)

Sorry for the late reply.
Thank you for pointing out the thickness bar.
I had forgotten about that!

I tried changing the thickness, but I loose all the the subdivisions in the extracted tool. Is there a way to keep the subdivisions of the original tool in the extracted tool?
