Need a little help pls.

Sorry for posting this thread like that here ? (i dont see “HELP ME” forum  )

Tomorow i have to be ready with a model, stupid rocky island of sort, and i got to a point of no return.
While making the base mesh in XSI, by mistake i extruded a couple of polygons and didnt see them untill now (in Zbrush).
I almost finished the HDmodeling. In this last part i found the problem area.

So my question, and i pray for fast response from you guys, is - Can i somehow transfer the high level of detail to a new mesh (the same mesh with fixed polys) ?
I tryed to export the mesh in the lowest LOD, then delete these polys, import again in Zbrush but it needs the same polycount mesh…
Then i added a Cube in the scene, in XSI, to try trick Zbrush but with no result.
My problem is that i dont have time to model the whole thing all over again.

If i do retopology on the high LOD, is it going to transfer 1.5mil polys ? (i never did retopo before, but first time is a must…)

Pls, give directions of possibilities to solve this problem.
I try searching but i dont know for what to search and dont find anything.
Manyy thanks in advance!!!

Yes you can. You’ll almost certainly need to do some cleanup in the areas that are dissimilar between the base meshes, but projecting your details will get you 90% there.

If you have any questions about passing details from one mesh to another, this forum already has TONS of info on it, so just start searching to find what you need.

Thanks man, i will search

Load your new (clean mesh) dive it couple of times (so it can hold those details from old mesh) then as subtool append old sculpted mesh (tool), have them both visible and be active on new one (main tool)…now just hit “ProjectAll” (it’s in tool->subtool window). Try that i think that should work or just use Zproject brush ;p

Yes!!! I did it! It works allmoust fine!
Little scale down the model, but its ookey!!!
Thanks for the help people! You saved my neck, and the stupid thing is that this is simple process… i am an idiot, i couldnt find this in the help
